Exterior: water-repellent nylon/poly shell, with water-repellent worsted wool sleeves.

Insulated with 800 power fully-traceable goose down fill.

Romantic Past meets Contemporary Present

The first alpine combined competition was conducted on the World Cup circuit in 1932 and represented the only ski racing event at the IV Winter Olympics in 1936. Traditionally consisting of one run of downhill and two runs of slalom, the tandem disciplines were designed to combine the very best of sheer speed and technical prowess.

WARM! Great Sport Vibe.

6'2", 195 lbs, 43" chest, 35" waist--Large fits perfectly over a tee. And given the way this sweater bottles in the heat, that may be all you need. The knit sleeves with stripes look great with the paneled body, and end up being the perfect balance of insulation--warmer on the extremities, lighter through the body. Despite the sporty look, it may be best suited for less active time outside unless you are a more efficient skier than I am. It would be great to have e.g. zip vents or a more adjustable collar to help regulate. From a design standpoint, I'm not entirely wild about the tie dye look to the paneled fabric. Looks best in the gray, in my opinion, where it's more subtle. Can't complain, the pictures are on the web site so can't claim a surprise there. Overall, lots of compliments. I would consider it an outdoor only item, ambient temp over about 45 degrees might be too warm. Absolutely recommend.

My favourite Alps & Meters jumper

I own four Alps & Meters jumpers and this one is my favourite.

The shawl keeps you nice and rugged up; the exterior is filled with goose down making it noticeably warmer than the other Alps & Meters jumpers.

Also a big fan of the pockets but unlike the Alpine Sweater Guide, you can not clasp both hands when you put your hands into the pockets.
