The Story

“Go West young man.” After WWII, ex-soldiers and trainers from the U.S. 10th Mountain Division led the boon in
winter recreation within the Rockies and Western region of the United States. With deep ties to resorts such as Vail
and Aspen Highlands, legends such as Pete Siebret, Whip Jones, and Dick Durrance became the fathers of Western
resort skiing and winter recreation in the United States. Having trained or been trained on Camp Hale’s storied terrain
when associated with the famed 10th Mountain Division the pioneers of U.S. skiing turned passion into vision and an
alpine sport experience which stands to this day. Channeling the sturdy and adventurous soul of United States Western ski resorts and regions the High West Alpine Guide Sweater is first class but rugged garment of evoking Colorado’s glory days as the cowboy boomtown of winter recreation in the 1950’s, 60’s, and 70’s.

Great sweater, but pricey

I love the look of the sweater. I love sweaters and have a lot and this one is very unique. The sweater seems like it will last awhile and it is rugged enough that I'd wear it everywhere and be comfortable being active in it. It is very pricey so I took a star off for that- it's not necessarily softer than other merino sweaters I've had and it doesn't seem to have anything worth more than just some unique features, in my opinion. Overall, I love the sweater though!

this is our 4th order of this style for my husband and son!

This sweater is the perfect combination of masculine but VERY soft! It is a perfect thickness for a warm and toasty layer for skiing, or over a button down for a smart look to go out to dinner. 6 stars, if I could.
