The Story

Following the end of World War II, the men of the 10th Mountain Division took their sharpened skiing prowess to other endeavors. Having honed their skills at the legendary Camp Hale in Colorado, many veterans would go on to excel in racing and patrolling, as well as go on to establish many of the premier US ski resorts we know to this day.

In celebration of the grit and determination of those who helped to build the American ski industry, the Alps & Meters High West Ski Race Knit sweater combines the racer’s classic crewneck silhouette with a western motif to create a unique version of the classic Fair Isle sweater, honoring the roots of American skiing that can be traced back to the Old West.
